Australian Building Codes Board Releases NCC 2025 and New Training Resources

The Australian Building Codes Board has released the NCC 2025 on 1 May 2026, accompanied by new CPD micromodules, tutor modules, and a free webinar series to help industry professionals understand the updated code.

The Australian Building Codes Board (ABCB) has announced the release of the National Construction Code (NCC) 2025, marking an important update to Australia's building standards.

To support industry adoption of the new code, the ABCB has made several educational resources available to help building professionals and stakeholders understand the updates:

  • New NCC 2025 CPD micromodules are now available for continuing professional development
  • New NCC 2025 tutor modules have been released to assist training providers
  • A free NCC 2025 webinar series is available for registration

The ABCB has also recently launched an interactive climate map to assist with understanding climate considerations in building design and construction.

Additionally, the board issued a clarification regarding manual controls for power-operated hinged doors in NCC 2022 (Amendment 2), and provided an update on the transition to lead-free plumbing products.
